Hermit crab

Hermit crabs carry around empty seashells, which give them shelter. Growing crabs must change their shells on a regular basis. The size of hermit crabs ranges from a few millimeters to 10–20 centimeters (3.9–7.8 inches, Coenobita brevimanus).
